Why become an affiliate partner of TaxiTender?
For almost any website with travel related or activity/tours/events related content and/or bookable products, the online bookable taxi is a topic most visitors are interested in. Servicing them with information and facilitating online booking of taxi’s will contribute positively to the user experience of those websites’ visitors. At the same time, the online taxi booking can be an extra source of income for those websites. If you also want to benefit from the huge market for online taxi bookings but not (yet) want to actually sell the taxi bookings on your website, an affiliate partnership with TaxiTender is a perfect solution. The affiliate partnership in a nutshell
In affiliate partnerships the taxi booking is promoted on the website of the affiliate by deeplinks, banners or widgets, while the actual booking is made on a TaxiTender domain, under a TaxiTender label or the label of the affiliate (a so called whitelabel of TaxiTender). The affiliate earns commission on each booking completed (and not cancelled) by visitors coming from the affiliate website, based on a 30 days cookie and “last cookie counts”. The commissions vary, depending on volume, from 8% to 10% of the ride price of fulfilled rides.
The affiliate plug and play toolkit
In the menu below, you can find explanation, examples and instructions for implementation (documentation) for each tool. These tools enable you to relatively easy increase your average earnings per visitor by monetizing your share of the huge market for online taxi bookings. After you have signed a affiliate partner agreement with us, you will get your affiliate code and logins to your dashboard, so you can start right away with implementing these tools.
Links versus deeplinks in general
If you want to have your website visitors or email recipients click on a link in your content (text, image), it’s rule nr 1. to have the context they land on after clicking on the link match with the context they expect to land on when clicking on the link. This is exactly what a deeplink distinguishes from a regular link: a deeplink contains information about this context which can be used by the landing context to optimize the match between the click- and land context, which will optimize user experience and conversion rate.
In the example below, coming from a website with lots of airport related content, the text is about Barcelona International Airport and specifically about taxi’s from and to this airport. In this text this affiliate partner has created a deeplink under the bleu text, containing the Barcelona airport code (BCN). The red code is the affiliate code to which the commissions for this affiliate will be awarded based on the last cookie counts principle within a 30-day cookie period.
So in this particular example, the airportcode is BCN and the affiliate code is added to the url by: ?utm_source=731008507. After you’ve registered as an affiliate and both parties have signed the affiliate partner agreement, You can find your unique affiliate in with your partner profile on https:/taxitender.com/login.
The same can be done with the “to” field or even complete routes “from-to”. Of course such a deeplink can also be placed under images, like buttons, banners or photos.
Regular links example
Regular links don’t contain any specific information other than just the webpage to which the link should lead the visitor. These are often used in more generic contexts like on homepages or navigation tabs like in the example below:
So if e.g. you have a website on the domain “travelbooking.com” with the navigation menu you see above and your affiliate code is 1234567, the affilate link put under “Airport taxis” in the above menu, would be http://ttdev.nl?utm_source=1234567.
But even with regular links we can facilitate rather specific landings, because TaxiTender has lots of landingspages for specific routes and destinations. So in the above example, with a regular link to a specific landing page for Barcelona El Prat as the “from” airport would result in a perfect match with the click context. More over, this kind of landingpages offer perhaps more possibilities to also match the look and feel with the click context, as you can see in the screenshot below:
In this particular example, if your affiliate code is 1234567, the affiliate link to put in under your text or images would be: http://ttdev.nl/airport-transfers/barcelona-el-prat-airport/taxi-from-barcelona-el-prat-to-city-center?utm_source=1234567.
Banners & buttons in general
A link or deeplink in a text is called a textlink, a link or deeplink under an image is called a banner. Clicking on a banner therfore works exactly the same as clicking on a textlink: the visitor is directed to the goal webpage of the link. With banners however, you can visualize the message better than with a normal textlink and you also have some branding effect. Depending on the context and goal, banners can be more effective than textlinks and vice versa.
Within banners we distinguish between static banners and dynamic banners. TaxiTender can deliver both, but dynamic banner are always tailor made by us for the affiliate partner, because of the specific targeting of dynamic banners. Below, you see some examples from our static banners.
Banners & buttons TaxiTender
Banners can direct traffic to the TaxiTender website or to a white label of the TaxiTender website in the brand, look and feel of the affiliate partner. Below, you see some examples of TaxiTender banners first, suitable for directing traffic to the TaxiTender website.
With these kind of banners you can attract the attention to the benefits of booking a taxi online with TaxiTender, by placing them around relevant content on websites and in emails/servicemails, e.g. about airports, train stations, city trips, accommodations, events, things to do, etc. The first three examples are general concept promoting banners targeted at leisure and business travellers, the second three are location based and therefore incorporate deeplinks through which the location information is processed to the landing page.
Banners & buttons in white label
If you choose to lead the traffic with banners to your own white label of the TaxiTender taxi booking page (under your label or co-label and in in your look and feel), it’s logical to have your banner designed also in this look and feel. In the examples below, you see banners we designed for our partner TrenItalia, who offers our transfers as a bookable add on to the train ticket on her label called Freccia Transfer. Freccia is TrenItalia’s her high speed train label. In this bannering concept, the door to door proposition is visualized as “from now on Freccia brings you to your doorstep, your meeting table, your work place, your plain” etc.
These banners are in fact regular links put under these images, leading to the website of the whitelabel, www.frecciatransfer.it which operates on the taxitender sub domain: https://frecciatransfer.taxitender.com.
Next to banners, we also offer a variety of (call to action) buttons in whitelabel, to be used to direct traffic from webpages or e-mailings to the whitelabel taxi booking page of the affiliate. Below you can see some examples made for HOP! Airfrance, leading to the whitelabel we made for them: https://hop.taxitender.com. Of course these also can be designed tailor made for an affiliate partner.
Widgets in general
Widgets are comparable to banners, but widgets contain more functionality, e.g. a search or calculate function. Therefore, widgets contain a stronger call to action to action than banners. More importantly, visitors don’t have to click out to carry out this action, they can do it in the widget. The most famous widget on the internet probably is the yellow hotel search box of Booking.com, which you can find on many travel related websites.
The TaxiTender widgets are comparable to the famous Booking.com widgets, since our widgets also contain the search functionality. We offer several versions, from very simple to in fact our complete search box you can find on our homepage. Furthermore, we offer our widgets in native HTML, so you can style it the way you want, or you can use our ready to use widgets for WordPress websites.
General Widget TaxiTender
This is an example of a native HTML widget, which our affiliate partner has adapted to its own look and feel. This is a simple version containing a (switchable) from and to field, as well as a pickupdate and time. Since this is a simple widget, not containing the number of persons, click on the compare prices button results in a landing on the partner whitelabel of TaxiTender.com, with a prefilled search box in which only the number of persons has to be added in order to get the results. The from and to boxes can be filled with auto suggest lists of the partner (e.g. certain service locations the affiliate partner wants promote taxi rides to and/or from) or can be automatically transformed into Google maps locations (“under water”) so these can be recognized by the TaxiTender seach engine.
Location based Widget TaxiTender
This is an example of a native HTML widget, whichour affiliate partner has adapted to its own look and feel. This is a location based version containing a (switchable) from and to field, as well as a pickupdate and time. The From field is pre-filled with an airport, in this example Barcelona International Airport. The from and to box can be switch by clicking on the arrows. This widget is used on a page with content about Barcelona International Airport specifically.
The other box can be filled with auto suggest lists of the partner (e.g. certain service locations the affiliate partner wants promote taxi rides to and/or from) or can be automatically transformed into Google maps locations (“under water”) so these can be recognized by the TaxiTender seach engine.
This kind of location based pre-filling of from and/or to boxes increase conversion rates to action, since it’s close to what the visitor apparently is interested in. To this box, a number of persons field can also be added as well as a return? box. This way, the complete searchbox is used which means clicking on “compare prices” directly leads to the result pages with direct bookable taxi’s and prices.
Whitelabels in general
Affiliates can choose to have the click on the text link, button or banner to the taxi search and book page, also in the look and feel of their own website. The advantage of this is that the visitor has the feeling to stay in the same environment, making conversion always higher: a switch to another environment always leads to dropping off a part of the click-through visitors.
However, it may also be that the affiliate in question wants to emphasize his independence as an informative or comparison site and therefore does not want a whitelabel but a click to the TaxiTender website.
Below you can see some examples of whitelabels we implemented with affiliate partners. These are just some examples, in practice we can develop “any whitelabel wishes” relatively quickly, as long as certain elements which are crucial to the search, compare and book functionality remain unchanged. The whitelabels are built in such a way, the affiliate partners can manage certain blocks of the content themselves.
We start with two example of a straight forward whitelabel implementations, the first one is the HOP!Airfrance whitelabel and the second one is for pokerevent management company Pokerstars travel.
In the next example, you see the whitelabel of KLM Flying Blue, which got the “sister brand name” Driving Blue. As you can see, in this whitelabel the airmiles program of KLM flights (Flying Blue) is also made applicable on the airport transfer and taxi bookings with Driving Blue. The incorporation of this Frequent Flyer Incentive program of KLM into the taxi booking flow, is an example of our tailor made applications of white labels.
In the next example, you see how we implemented a whitelabel for a city content website family, by adapting the look and feel to the specific city. This is also an example of our tailor made white label implementation.
